QUETTA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday chaired a meeting at the Governor House to discuss the situation following the terrorist attack at the police training school. The prime minister was briefed about the tragic incident, where at least 60 recruits lost their lives and several others received wounds as the gunmen attacked the training centre. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday visited Sandeman Civil Hospital to enquire after the health of police cadets, who suffered gunshots and splinter wounds in an attack on police training centre. The prime minister visited every injured and inquired after their health. Prof Dr Masood Qazi and Prof Dr Hamidullah Khan Panezai Kakar briefed the prime minister about the health condition of the injured. They said medical operations of several injured had been carried out as some of them were inflicted with broken bones after receiving gunshots. Premier Sharif directed authorities concerned to provide all available medical care and facilities to the injured persons. The government would bear all medical expenditures of the treatment, he said. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security Lt Gen (r) Nasser Khan Janjua, Southern Command Commander Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattha, Balochistan Frontier Corps Inspector General Major Gen Sher Afgun and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ahsan Mehboob accompanied the prime minister.
