MULTAN: Punjab’s government plans to establish an agriculture commission to boost agricultural production and improve farmers’ financial condition. According to official sources, the commission would consist of farmers’ representatives – who would be selected from different parts of the province. The sources informed that the commission would forward its suggestions to the government on different agricultural policies. The government would honour proposals of the representatives and would also focus on putting the agriculture sector on modern lines and offer maximum economic relief to peasants.
