ISLAMABAD: The federal government decided on Friday not to demand Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief’s return from the United Kingdom (UK). Scotland Yard shall be provided all evidence regarding MQM chief’s backing of attacks on media houses and spreading unrest in Karachi whereas consultation was also being made regarding placing a ban on MQM. Sources indicate that the media houses’ attack was the basis for the case against MQM’s chief. The services of the legal counsel shall also be availed for the legal consultation of the Scotland Yard. On the other hand, it was decided in a meeting under the leadership of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan that all non-governmental organisations (NGOs) be brought within the sphere of law.
