ISLAMABAD: The Indian deputy high commissioner received Pakistan’s strong protests against the recent unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian troops at Phuklian and Chaprar sectors’ working boundaries. He was summoned to the Foreign Office on Tuesday and was told that these violations had resulted in the martyrdom of two innocent civilians including one-and-a-half-year-old female infant. Six civilians have also been injured due to the Indian shelling. It was conveyed to the Indian side that New Delhi should investigate into the incident and share the findings with Pakistan. The FO further instructed the high commissioner to ensure Indian troops respected the ceasefire in letter and spirit and refrain from targeting the innocents.
