KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly criticised Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s tweet that links Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) sit-in to the Quetta attack, a local TV channel reported. Khawaja Asif linked the Indian aggression on the Line of Control (LoC) with the recent attack on Quetta’s police training centre with PTI’s November 2 sit-in against the government. Several Twitter users also condemned Asif’s tweet and its timing. Bilawal replied to the tweet and asked the minister to delete his tweet and furthermore his government as it was shameful to play politics over Quetta’s carnage that left 60 people dead. The PPP chief also reminded the defence minister to do his job. In another story, Senior PTI leader Shireen Mazari also termed the tweet ‘irresponsible’ as it associated Pakistan’s enemies with a political party’s peaceful protest seeking accountability. She questioned Asif’s views and asked if he thinks India and terrorists as enemies of Pakistan?
