PESHAWAR – District Nazim Muhammad Asim Khan on Tuesday directed the city district government to initiate crackdown against encroachment at bus stands across the city for the facilitation of passengers and also expedite recovery process from the transport terminals. Presiding over a meeting of bus terminal managers, the district nazim directed the assistant transport officer, the tax superintendent and the officials of city government to remove all encroachment from the bus stands in collaboration with mangers. He directed the terminal managers to improve facilities including provision of clean drinking water and setting up of waiting areas for the passengers and also take action against drug addicts in and around the bus terminals. He further directed the officials to expedite the recoveries from bus stands and present a report to him no daily basis. The meeting was attended by PSO Sohail Nazir, Account Officer Aziz Khan, Manager General Bus Stand Imran Khan, Manager Kohat Bus Stand Mazher Ali, Manager Karkhano Bus Stand Malik Mustaqim and Manager Charsadda Bus Stand Fazl Subhan, ATO Ayaz Durrani and Tax Superintendent Azher Ali Shah.
