RAHIM YAR KHAN: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stated that he would wholeheartedly follow the Supreme Court (SC) orders on the issue Panama Leaks. Nawaz said that although the apex court has sent him the notice, it does not mean he has been summoned. He informed his close confidants that an official response on the Panama Papers case would be filed soon. According to sources, in an informal meeting with local party leaders and confidants, PM Nawaz reiterated his formal position on the issue saying that there is a malicious intent behind the campaign against him on Panama Papers as his name has not appeared in the leaks. “Sit-ins have been detrimental for the country’s economy,” Nawaz said. The SC on Thursday issued notices to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members in the petitions seeking his disqualification and probe into the Panama Leaks and sought their replies within two weeks.
