KARACHI/QUETTA: Four people, including three children, lost their lives due to scorching heatwave in Sindh, while one person died in Balochistan. All casualties in Sindh were reported in Tharparkar. Asghar and Latif died in Chachro Hospital whereas a newborn girl and 40-year-old Natho died in Mithi District Hospital. On Saturday, Jacobabad was the hottest place in Sindh where temperature touched 48 C. Temperature also remained high in other parts of Sindh as Larkana and Sukkur faced 47 C and Dadu and Sehwan 44 C. According to the metrological office, very hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of Sindh on Sunday. However, rain-thundershower with dust storm was expected at isolated places in Mirpurkhas division. Meanwhile, the hottest day of the year was witnessed in Sibi and its surroundings where the temperature was recorded at 49 degrees centigrade. One person was killed due to scorching heat and five others felt unconscious.
