ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chairman Raja Zafarul Haq has attributed the present political mess in the country as part of the efforts to send former military president Pervez Musharraf abroad.
While talking to the media personnel on Sunday, he said that pressures are being exerted on the PML-N’s government to give Musharraf a safe passage and ongoing political crisis in the country is linked to these pressures. “Hidden forces, which do not want legal action against Musharraf and wanted a safe exit for him, are pressurising the government,” he said. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has no lust for power and is committed to serve the country. Raja said that all those bent upon damaging the country has no right to celebrate the Independence Day, an apparent reference to Imran Khan and his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for going for the Azadi March on the 14th.
He claimed that the prime minister is the only leader who had severely condemned the Israeli aggression against the innocent Palestinians. He alleged that Musharraf was going to accept Israel and he even met the Israeli defence minister in London in this regard. About the future of PML-N, Zafar claimed that his party would even win the next general elections when it will be held.
