ISLAMABAD: Shortage of inspectors in Pakistan Film Censor Board has created hurdles in inspection of the movies being screened in the cinemas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Film Censor Board is a sub-organisation of Federal Ministry for Information and Broadcasting. At present, only three film inspectors are working while four seats are lying vacant. Vacant seats lying in Pakistani Censor Board have caused a lot of films to be showcased without being inspected. An official said that the department has been facing a lot of difficulties in inspecting the films due to shortage of staff, hence, films in all the cinemas are not fully inspected. According to the rules of the board, immediate action can be taken against the owner of the cinema or the cinema can be sealed if a film is being exhibited without obtaining a certificate from the organisation.
