PESHAWAR: President and Head of Department of Psychology at University of Peshawar Dr Jahanzeb Khan said that the people are suffering from mental disorder due to uncertain peace and stability on Wednesday. “We have to do all together for mental health and development of the people so that people of Pakistan can lead better life,” he said while addressing the concluding session of the 11 days Hypnotherapy International Course organized by Transformation International Society at Peshawar University, Psychology Department. He said that, “Such type of programs can help reduce the psychological stress of the people. The purpose of the course is to enhance the professional ability of the participants. It is a good gesture that psychologists of various organizations and NGOs are also participating in the course.” On this occasion, Dr. Muhammad Imran, Founder Transformation International said that, “It is the need of hour to serve the country for the achievement of a healthy society.” He emphasized upon the need of various national health systems. Dr. Jahanzeb lauded the services of Transformation International Society adding that, “Doctors, professors and social workers should come forward and provide health facilities to the masses under one roof.” Dr. Sobia Aftab, Associate Professor, Clinical Psychology, University of Karachi and course trainer during her address said, “A healthy society can only be achieve if we come forward to work together to achieve the goal. It is the need of time that people from all walks of life work together.” She said, “The problems relating to metal health and stress are increasing day by day in our society and it is necessary to take steps to combat the situation.” In the end, Dr. Jahanzaib Khan distributed certificates among the students completing the course and shields to International trainers.
