The 63-year-old star expressed in an interview how she had no regrets about not having children of her own because she doesn’t ”have the patience” for babies. The star famously founded the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, a boarding school in South Africa which opened in 2007 and houses 172 girls. And she feels the girls at her school gave her a chance to be a motherly figure and she’s happy with that. The philanthropist said,“Love knows no boundaries. It doesn’t matter if a child came from your womb or if you found that person at age two, 10 or 20. If the love is real, the caring is pure and it comes from a good space, it works.” She feels it’s more rewarding than she had ever imagined. She was doing this to help them, but it brought light to her life in way she can’t explain. Winfrey had, at the age of 14, given birth to a son who died in the hospital a few weeks later.
