MUMBAI: Quratul-ain Balouch has been stealing hearts with her stunning voice for a long time now. Therefore, this may not come as a surprise when we heard that QB was roped in for Amitabh Bachchan’s film PINK. After her Coke Studio collaboration with Noori and Haroon Shahid, the singer’s bollywood debut has just been released and it’s beyond amazing. Soulful melody from ‘Pink’, crooned by Qurat-Ul-Ain Balouch, ‘Kaari Kaari’ is a sad yet heart touching song. The Coke Studio singer lent vocals for the song and it’s truly an emotional song with moving lyrics. Featuring Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Taring in lead roles PINK is a courtroom drama-thriller in which Big-B plays a lawyer who fights the case of three women who were assaulted by some very influential men. The video shows clips of the movie, as Arora (played by Taapsee Pannu) and her roommates lip-syncing to QB’s powerful voice. The melody is soft and the slow beat helps highlight the powerful lyrics (Ae Khuda tuu gum hai kahan). The hard-hitting track for the film along with the video where the women are shown staring in the distance or breaking the fourth wall while singing the lyrics have us waiting impatiently for what seems to be a very riveting movie. Ever since the film’s trailer was released, people were waiting for the film to hit the theatres. The film stars Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi. The glimpse of Big B and Taapsee’s stellar performance in the trailer has already got us all hooked. ‘Pink’ is directed by Bengali filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, who helmed the 2006 National award-winning film ‘Antaheen,’ with Rahul Bose and Radhika Apte in the lead. The film is all set to release on September 16, 2016.
