KARACHI: Celebrities from the world of fashion, film, TV and art gathered together on Wednesday night in the city of lights to celebrate the concept of art meets fashion, brought forth by the creative team behind Magnum in association with four of our leading designers. We compile our top favourites of the red carpet fashion. Aamina Sheikh – leading actress Aamina Sheikh opted for a bright pink blouse, paired with a sequined knee-length skirt, that we absolutely loved. As most of the other celebrities chose Magnum-inspired colours and shades to wear, Aamina stood out for her unique selection. Her neon-yellow pointed heels could not be ignored. Maheen Khan – the veteran designer looked elegant in an all-black ensemble with a chocolate-brown purse to go with it. With silver peek-a-boo heels, Maheen Khan turned heads with her grace and poise. Nilofer Shahid – who could’ve outshone the fashion pioneer Nilofer Shahid on the red carpet? She was the epitome of elegance with a cream and gold chiffon and tissue layered-gown, paired with a woollen pouch. Her minimal gold accessories made quite a statement on the red carpet. Ali Xeeshan – the trendy designer known for his standout wardrobe and unique selection of clothing, was all black with matching pants, vest and a jacket. He paired his look with sequined moccasins. However, his rooster cap turned heads and made Xeeshan the red carpet gutsy winner. Ali Zafar – Ali Zee rocked the monochrome look and looked more dapper than usual. We loved how he maintained a plain, sleek look with a white collar shirt, a black waist coat with coordinating pants and boots. Nomi Ansari – the Karachi-based designer brought his own twist to the Magnum-inspired red carpet look. We loved how he opted for a gold mirrored tie, a gold brooch and leopard printed boots. He personified a casual meets formal look.
