LOS ANGELES: Former Disney star Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she wants to play the role of Ariel in the remake of Disney classic ‘The Little Mermaid’. Lindsay Lohan took to social media to hold a campaign for the remaking of the animated film. She shared a side by side picture of her and the cartoon Ariel. The picture was captioned, ““I will sing again, as ariel in the littlemer maid disney approve that bill condon directs it along with my sister @alianamusic singing the theme song for the soundtrack.” Beauty and Beast director Bill Condon was included in Lindsay’s twitter post where she asked Disney to approve that Bill Condon should direct The Little Mermaid and caste her as Ariel and her sister should be taken for singing the theme song. Lindsay went ahead to even suggest that CrossFit coach Kristen Graham should be considered for the role of Ursula because Lindsay remarked, ‘’she is the best.” Lindsay has been working on a casting and crew recommendation list for ‘The Little Mermaid’. She seems enthralled about the idea. However, Disney has not commented on this yet. According to media reports, Disney executives were discussing about the making of live-action The Little Mermaid. Broadway hit show Hamilton starrer Lin-Manuel Miranda stated, ““I literally don’t have a title for what my job on The Little Mermaid is yet.” Fans can absolutelyimagine Lindsay Lohan playing the role of Ariel and they have their fingers crossed for Disney to approve the idea for making a live-action movie of The Little Mermaid.
