Leading up to the release of ‘1989’ in October, Taylor was all about working cutesy throwbacks into her wardrobe-from funky bowler hats to knee socks! Over the course of the next year, Taylor dialled the edge back a bit-she kept a few hats in the mix, but she also brought back the classic, Jackie O styles we’d known pre-‘Red’. But as 2016 rolled around, Taylor really began to up her fashion game. It might have something to do with hanging out with supermodel BFFs all the time, but Tay’s style is increasingly sophisticated. Whether it’s a new platinum ‘do or thigh-high velvet boots, this country-turned-pop star isn’t afraid to take a risk. The red lips have been a mainstay, we must note, and so has Taylor’s good taste.
