MUMBAI: Veteran actor and legend Amitabh Bachchan celebrated 48 years of stardom on Wednesday. The Big B joined Bollywood back in February 15, 1969, which it his 48th year in the Indian film industry on February 15, 2017. Bachchan’s first movie was ‘Saat Hindustani’, which revolved around the story of the people of Goa at a time when they were controlled by the Portuguese. Bachchan shared a post on Twitter to inform his fans about his 48 years in Bollywood. “Today on Feb 15th 1969 I officially joined the film industry, signed my 1st film Saat Hindustani,” Bachchan wrote. The ‘Bollywood’s Shahenshah’ has been a part of 200 movies over his almost five decade-long career in the industry. His biggest hits include Sholay, Coolie, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum, Bhagban, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. According to sources, the 74 year old icon is working on two projects currently. He has signed up for Thugs of Hindostan, alongside Amir Khan and a superhero film Dragon, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Amitabh Bachchan has played various characters over the decades and he has never failed to impress his fans with his breathtaking acting skills. No matter what, he will always remain as ‘Bollywood’s Shahenshah’.
