KARACHI: The second day of the coveted bi-annual Fashion Pakistan Week was a roaring success as eminent and prominent members of the media, film, fashion, television and modelling industry rubbed shoulders to mark their attendance at the event. Hats off to the council for putting forth another remarkable event. Sanam Chaudhri Sanam Chaudhri — the esteemed designer made heads turn with her stunning collection of bolds and matte shades. We loved the statement embroideries and embellishments; classy and charming, the outfits exuded effortless grace with a tinge of modernity. Wardha Saleem Wardha Saleem — Karachi-based designer Wardha Saleem’s collection was set in a bright colour palette with lehnga cholis, colourful mehndi outfits and perky formal eastern wear for men were the highlights. Wardha Saleem stayed true to het signature style of depicting nature and wildlife in her designs using parrots, florals and sealife in her design. Emraan Rajput Emraan Rajput — renowned menswear designer Emraan Rajput’s collection was chic, modern and ready for today’s man. We loved the tuxedos, straight pants and suits, making thr ladies swoon! The monochrome suits and ties rocked! Sadaf Malaterre Sadaf Malaterre — next up was Sadaf Malaterre with her chiffon and silk maxi gowns and palazzo pants collection. The designer used a bold maroon colour palette for her collection with organza separates and lots of off shoulder tops. HEM HEM — we loved HEM for their cohesive metallic and ivory collection featuring skirts, jumpsuits, bolero tops and hip jackets. Deepak Perwani Deepak Perwani — veteran designer Deepak Perwani closed Day 2 with his formal wear and bridal collection. For a designer who knows his craft like the back of his hand, Deepak Perwani’s immaculate stitchings and impeccable fittings made up for one stunning showcase.
