LONDON: David Bowie and Leonard Cohen are in line to receive posthumous Brit Awards. Bowie died at the age of 69 and Leonard Cohen at 82 was found dead in his sleep. Both of them died last year. Bowie is nominated for best British male solos artist along Craig David, Skepta and Michael Kiwanuka His album Blackstar is also nominated for the British album of the year category. The album was released on his birthday, two days before he died. While Bowie won the best British male solo artist award in 2014, his acceptance speech was read by supermodel Kate Moss in his absence. He demanded Scotland to stay in the United Kingdom. Leonard Cohen was nominated for the best international male solo artist among Bon Iver, Bruno Mars, Drake and The Weekend The international female solo artist award sees a sibling rivalry between Beyonce and Solange, who are also competing with Christine and the Queens, Rihanna and Sia.
