The Jonas Brothers sadly broke up in October 2013, and since then fans of the beloved boy band have received vague explanations as to why they decided to call it quits. Shortly after disbanding, the brothers appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ to try to calm the storm that had brewed. “I think it was time, and for us it took some time getting there, but we feel like it’s time that the Jonas Brothers come to an end,” musician and actor Kevin Jonas said at that time, singer and songwriter Nick Jonas revealed on the show that he was the one who “initiated” the split. We can hardly believe it’s been three years since the Jonas Brothers split up. And now, we know whose idea it was. With the drop of his album ‘Last Year Was Complicated’, Nick Jonas was on Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on June 14, where he further addressed the breakup and finally admitted that he didn’t just initiate the break-up he was the entire reason for it. He shared that they had been fighting for a little while. “It was a very tough conversation, and it left the family kind of shaken up for a little while,” Nick said. “I mean we were about to start a tour. We were two days from starting a tour.” Though there will always be a special place in our hearts for their hits as a trio, Nick did point out how much each brother has blossomed since the split. “We’re good now. I have a beautiful niece. My brother has a family. Joe’s band DNCE is doing very well,” he shared. “It’s good for everybody and it’s good that it happened because I think we all grew from it, but it was very challenging for a little while.” Everything happens for a reason, right?
