Couture and prêt wear designer Maheen Taseer and late governor Salmaan Taseer’s son, Shahbaz, welcomed the arrival of their baby girl, Serena Amy Taseer on Sunday. The overjoyed parents expressed their excitement and happiness on social media, causing an immediate frenzy on Twitter and Facebook. The name Serena is derived from Latin, meaning “clear, tranquil, serene”. Answering a question on Twitter, Shahbaz Taseer said, “Amy is my nani’s (maternal grandmother) name.” On Monday, Maheen Taseer posted on Facebook, “Thank you everyone for the love – Shahbaz and I are proud parents to our beautiful baby girl, Serena Taseer. Our little miracle baby Masha Allah. Keep us in your prayers.” Shahbaz also posted on Twitter, saying, “Serena Amy Taseer, born January 8, 2017. Mother and baby are in good health. I on the other hand am completely exhausted.” Their friends, family and followers could be seen wishing the couple on social media and extending their congratulations whole heartedly. Senator Sherry Rehman, also Tweeted, “Congratulations to you all.
