However, his role was chopped of all thanks to ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, reportedBollywoodLife. Fawad was indeed a part of the film and had even shot for his role as Virat Kohli with the biopic director Neeraj Pandey and Sushant Singh Rajput, revealed a source. Fawad’s role was supposed to be a surprise package, and what a surprise it might have been until it was cut of just a week before the film’s release, just when Uri attack occurred. “Neeraj Pandey didn’t want any negative publicity or controversy around the film. Though Fawad Khan’s character was an integral part of the film, but it wasn’t as important as that of MS Dhoni’s. So he thought it’s better to do away with the Fawad’s portions in the film,” said a source close to the film, reported DNA India. The ongoing escalation between India and Pakistan, has become a nightmare for the Pakistani artistes working in India, as Indian extremist party continue call for banning them from working in the country.
