LONDON: The UK has been declared to be the very first county that will permit the birth of children with three people’s DNA included. At the same time, research has revealed such treatments can bring down the ratio of sexual transmitted diseases and abnormalities in off springs. UK Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) reported on 30th November after a long research that the therapy is for limited clinical testing where the procedure exchanges mother’s defective mitochondria with healthy ones from another woman’s zygote. The baby would be result of ‘Three DNAs’.Therapy will be confirmed by HFEA on 15 December 2016. Hoewever, studies testing the therapy in human eggs have suggested that it might not always prevent mitochondrial diseases.
