Sir: The economy of Pakistan is the 25th largest in the world, and 38th largest concerning nominal gross domestic product. Pakistan has a population of over 190 million persons. The sixth largest country is giving a nominal GDP per capita of $1,550 which ranks 132nd in the world. Pakistan undocumented economy is estimated to be 36 percent of its overall economy, which is not taken into consideration when calculating per capita income. The World Bank predicts that by 2018, Pakistan’s economic growth will increase to a robust 5.4 percent due to a greater inflow of foreign investment namely the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. But Pakistan is facing serious issues like electricity crisis, gas shortage, terrorism, unemployment and poverty. I implore to the government to solve these problems in order to become the world’s largest economy in 21st century. BABA FAIZ Turbat
