Sir: Youth are the backbone of the nation. They can change the future of a country with their well being and good behaviour. Thus youth play a vital role in the country. But nowadays youth are facing many problems due to which they are not doing their work and responsibilities properly and due to this reason our country is not able to meet its development targets. Around 48.7 percent of young people in Karachi want to leave the country and want to go abroad just because of the number of problems they are facing in Pakistan. These problems are unemployment, insecurity, economic problems, lack of social support and career opportunities. These problems are creating hurdles for the youth to accomplish their goals and to do something for themselves and their country. According to a research, 90 percent of the youth do not see any opportunities in Karachi and they are very much worried about their future. That is why they have decided to migrate to some other place for better opportunities. This migration of youth is very bad for our country. It is important for us that our youth stay with us and give benefit to us not to others. No one wants that our youth leave the country. The concerned authorities should see this issue seriously and solve it immediately. The government needs to provide better opportunities to youth. SULTANA HAMZA Karachi
