Sir: The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has the potential to change the destiny of the people of Balochistan which will usher in a new era of development in the region but still its residents are deprived of basic needs and suffer from chronic issues such as energy crisis, water shortage, unemployment, poverty, illiteracy, etc. It is said that CPEC will lead to development and prosperity. Shockingly, it is not bringing profits in the undeveloped areas of the province. It is high time to address the issues to give access to fundamental amenities in order to ensure the triumph of CPEC project. MANNAN SAMAD Makran
