Sir: In recent days, Pakistan has been hit by a sequence of suicide bomb attacks killing more than 100 lives in different parts of the country. The death toll has spread terror among the civilians, so who is the safest of us all? This is to question our security forces and their security arrangements in different parts of the country. More than 80 people were killed in Lal Shehbaz Qalander shrine last week where a suicide bomber blew himself killing over 100 activists. Charsadda attack has killed one lawyer and a few people were injured on Tuesday morning by several suicide bombers. The security crackdown and security failure have affected the civilians violently. Our inefficiency and security malfunction has badly affected our country’s repute. In the present circumstances, our concerns must be to establish effective border cooperation with afghan security forces in order to prevent any of the illegal attacks in Pakistan. This also requires a joined effort from all the security forces including rangers, army and police to eliminate terrorism from the country. This will not only improve our present position but our future will be secure too. FARIA KHAN Islamabad
