Sir: It has been more than 10 days now and the dedicated PTI and PAT followers are still eating, sleeping and living on the streets and roads outside the containers in which their leaders are staying. There are so many women and children in the crowd that it boggles the mind how they are coping. Some women have even brought their newborn babies to the sit-in. What is being done to facilitate these members of society? It is a peaceful protest and the federal government must look after the most vulnerable members of the protest. It goes without saying that PTI Chief Imran Khan and PAT head Tahirul Qadri should provide for these women and their children but the sitting government should win hearts and minds by making sure there are adequate mobile latrine facilities and food and water available to the people. This is the nation of Pakistan out on the streets; we must take care of them. SANA KHAN Lahore
