Sir: Every year, numerous fatal accidents occur due to the impatience and careless attitude of drivers. Driving without a seatbelt, texting, speeding and listening to music by using headphones are some of the practices that are responsible for road accidents. Young drivers seem to get thrills and enjoyment by speeding and defying traffic rules. By doing so, they not only put their own lives in danger but also pose a threat to other road users. A fraction of a second is enough to turn life topsy-turvy. The concerned authorities need to enforce stringent laws to deter such road mishaps. Parents should not allow their underage children to drive their vehicles. SHAHID AHMED QURESHI Badin
