Sir: After the extensive efforts made by newspapers and media, Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has become ready to provide maximum opportunities to the youth of Sindh after a long time. It is really a great step taken by SPSC to give advertisement for the posts of different government departments. I do appreciate SPSC, but, age relaxation has always been discussed and criticised by the youth of Sindh against the policies of SPSC. As, recently the posts of Home Department: Deputy Superintendent Prison BPS-17 and Assistant Superintendent Prison BPS-16 are advertised under the age of 21 to 28. Surprisingly, one wonders that on what basis and principle, this age limit is fixed by the concerned authorities. Relevantly, as far as Central Superior Services (CSS) examination is concerned, Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) presents an appropriate age limit; 30 for general and 32 for government employees. Simultaneously, when we go through the process of Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Public Service Commission (KPPSC), the youth are blessed with a better age relaxation almost from 21 to 35 in multiple government sectors. Then, why has only Sindh adopted this discriminatory policy? WAJAHAT ABRO Shikarpur
