Sir: The death of Chaudhry Aslam leaves me and my family in deep sorrow. Definitely, he was a maverick and a media savvy policeman who made us feel protected. He represented those police officers (could be counted on the fingers) who took their profession seriously and with devotion. It is difficult to put one’s life in danger to protect others. He was not an ordinary soul. I cannot imagine becoming like Chaudhry Aslam. It takes a lot of guts, courage and character to be like him. I certainly hope that our otherwise spineless leaders would take some clue from the deceased police officer, who died protecting his people and serving his nation selflessly.
