KARACHI: Administrative Judge of Anti Terrorist Court ATC Sindh Justice Sayed Mohammad Farooque Shah on Monday approved new challan submitted by two officials of Joint Investigation Team JIT – SP Sajid Sadozai & ASP Akhtar in Baldia garments factory fire in which 258 male and female workers died and over 600 sustained burn wounds on September 11, 2012 and sent the case to Anti Terrorist Court II for trial. The new challan has been prepared in the light of findings of the new JIT headed by senior Police Officer Sultan Khuwaja has nominated Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Hammad Siddqui and Rahman alias Bholla as absconders. According to the challan, Hammad Siddiqui and Rehman Bholla demanded extortion money from factory owners amounting Rs 250 million and partnership in business and after thier refusal, they set the factory on fire as punishment by using a highly reactive chemical.
