Sir: India’s actions against the Pakistan-India Indus Waters Treaty and its cancellation of the Islamabad South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation summit should be handled with care, and despite all this, steps should be taken towards achieving peace. One can only hope that time will heal all these wounds, paving the way for a better future for both Pakistan and India. Both countries have natural resources in abundance, but bad politics and their lethargic attitude towards peace has taken a heavy toll on the wealth index of the two countries. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the powers that be in Pakistan and India to take serious steps in matters of nurturing a good rapport and strengthening the economic activity between the two countries. Far-sighted vision is the need of the hour, and Pakistan and India both need to display it. P SENTHIL SARAVANA DURAI Mumbai, India
