TIMERGARA: Commandant Dir Task Force (DTF) Col Khalid Mahmood Shafi Monday said that Pak Army would fully support the Lower Dir administration and education department to improve standard education in the district. Speaking at a function held at Government High School (GHS) Maidan Bandai here Col Khalid Mahmood Shafi said education was the only tool through which the menace of terrorism could be eliminated once forever. A large number of area elders, teachers and students were present on the occasion. He stressed on the students to fully focus on their studies as he observed without education they wouldn’t be able to serve the nation. “Enlighten your minds with the candle of knowledge”, Khalid Shafi advised students and added that education had a key role in development and prosperity of a nation. DTF commandant handed over furniture items and generators to the school administration. Local elders appreciated efforts of Pak army for rehabilitation of schools in Maidan which were affected by militancy.
