PESHAWAR: A senior citizen Abdul Hanan of Chamkani area has accused Khazana police of arresting his son Sameen Khan in what he described as a fake terrorism case and appealed to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan to materialise his commitment regarding the provision of ‘justice’ to the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday, Abdul Hanan said that he had an old land dispute with one Moatabar Khan of Dir and the police were supporting the opponents. He said that his son was suffering from some sort of mental illness and had done nothing wrong but the police had picked him up as result of a raid at his residence. “Police raided my house, took away my son without any reason and implicated him in a false case of terrorism by showing one hand grenade, six kilograms hashish and over three hundred cartridges which is totally baseless,” the complainant lamented. Abdul Hanan said his house was located in the limits of Chamkani Police Station while the raid was conducted by the SHO of Khazana Police Station without informing the local police, producing a search warrant and a lady police personnel. He said that he had litigation over a piece of land but the police had nothing to intervene in the matter, adding that the raid was conducted on mala-fide intentions to force him on compromising with his opponent. The complainant appealed to the PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, the Inspector General of Poice Nasir Khan Durrani, to take notice of the injustice against him along with misuse of powers and demanded the provision of justice.
