PESHAWAR: The Provincial Minister for Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Mehmood Khan has said that government run schools of the province were made sufficient of all requirements as education remain first priority of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). An official handout on Saturday stated that provincial government has provided all required funds to make the education department equipped for delivering better opportunity. He said that government has also put concentration over the merit based induction of the teachers and stamp out the culture of nepotism from the education department which suffers acute in successive governments of the province. Mehmood Khan claimed to have appointed around 40000 teachers through National Testing Service (NTS) and provided solid foundation to government schools and stop ways of absenteeism of teachers and students. History will write with golden words the reforms made by the PTI in education and health sector and international community has praised the initiatives as pioneer steps which will boost the government school performance, he added. The successive governments of the province have largely utilized the potential of the province for political reason and paid little attention to promote the wellbeing of the students and youth but present government steer them toward right direction, he maintained. PTI will gain advantage over their opponents on the basis of its reforms and performance and will sweep over the upcoming general election by ousting other political parties of the province, Mehmood Khan claimed.
