PESHAWAR: World Malaria Day was observed by the Directorate Health Services FATA on 24th April. The day was commemorated with the commitment to eliminate malaria from FATA. Currently FATA is the highest contributor of malaria to total malaria cases in Pakistan. The theme for this year was “End Malaria for good” Speaking on the occasion the chief guest Dr. Muhammad Assai WR WHO stress upon the involvement of Agency Surgeons, Community & integration of programs. Dr. Jawad Habib Director Health Services FATA told the history of World Malaria Day & the importance of its celebration. Mr. Aslam Khan Ex-Director DOMC also spoke on the occasion & praised the role of WHO & Dr. Qutbuddin Kakar for Malaria Control activities.
