PESHAWAR: A group of students belonging to tribal belt on Friday demanded of the government to make sure the provision of basic education facilities to the repatriated families’ children in North Waziristan Agency on early basis. They also asked the government to repair the destroyed educational institutions in the consequences of Operation Zarb-e-Azb against militancy and establish new schools in the area. These demands were made during a protest demonstration held at Sher Shah Suri Road opposite Cantonment Railway Station wherein they gathered under aegis of Youth of Waziristan (YW). Carrying a banner and placards inscribed with different slogans in favour their demands, the protesters shouted. Mir Wali Dawar, president YW, Muhib Ullah, General Secretary and Asad Ullah, Information Secretary were leading the demonstrators. Talking to reporters they claimed that a huge number the children of returned families to North Waziristan Agency were still deprived of the basic right of education. Therefore, they demanded of the federal government to impose educational emergency in North Waziristan Agency aimed at providing education to the affected families. However, they said that drug business had reached to its peak in the area which had put at stake the lives of young generation while political administration was a silent spectator and seemed helpless in this regard. They further demanded of the government to take stern action against those who were involved in the curse business of drug.
