MANSEHRA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasser Khan Durrani has suspended nine policemen, including a station house officer, for failing to adopt proper security measures during the security alert. “The IGP has suspended an SHO and eight policemen of Mansehra for their failure to adopt precautionary measures during the security alert,” Jamal Zeb, spokesman of the police, told reporters on Wednesday. The suspended officials included SHO City Police Station Mohammad Arshad and eight policemen, Rashid, Waheed Shah, Ali Rehman, Rafique, Saleem, Safdar, Ashraf and Arshad Khan. Jamal Zeb said that the cops were not wearing helmets and jackets during the security alert. He added that District Police Officer Ahsan Saifullah had also suspended two assistant sub-inspectors of Pulrah Police Station.
