PESHAWAR: The Peshawar district administration on Monday banned the sale of toy guns and aerial firing for a period of one month. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saqib Aslam issued directives that all kind of purchasing of toy-guns was prohibited under the Section 144 in the jurisdiction of district Peshawar for one month. In the face of Eid and numerous incidents of aerial firing soon after Pakistan win over India in Champion trophy created threats like situation in Peshawar upon which the decision was effected by the DC. According to different sources that around 30 people including children and women were admitted into the three major hospitals of the provincial due aerial firing incidents. However, it has been clearly mention in a statement issued by the DC office that strong action will be taken against the rules violators and those found guilty of aerial firing and those shopkeepers selling guns toys would face the music.
