PESHAWAR: The representative of the FATA Students Organization demanded to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for the inclusion of separate column and slot in census form for Internally Displace Persons (IDPs) and urged for maintaining their status on the basis of permanent address. Addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Friday the president of the organization claimed that around 70 per cent people of the tribal belt out their home towns and living the life of IDPs at different part of the country which demand special attention in the census. He said that since 2009 tribesmen have been dispersed from their native homes in search of their livelihood but they should be consider in the form of census as population of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on the basis of their permanent house address. He said that government should have include a slot or additional column in the census form so the population of the FATA would be as part of the tribal, adding that those who living outside of the FATA were the people of the tribal belt and have migrated due to government policies and therefore they must be reckon in the belt. The representatives of the organization including former parliamentary leader Munir Khan Orakzai, Fata Lawyers forum former president Karim Masood and other were also present in the press conference. They said that the government should grant every person having Identity card of FATA their actual status in the census procedure and try not to be made to decrease the population of the FATA. The government should carry out proper census by granting actual status to the residents of the FATA which will have immense affect the National Finance Commission (NFC) distribution formula.
