PESHAWAR: As many as 225 schemes costing Rs 275.45 million have been approved in district Kohat in different sectors. The schemes were for NA-14, PK-37, PK-38 and PK-39 out of which 155 completed while there was 70 per cent physical progress on the remaining schemes. This was stated during a review meeting held with District Finance Officer Kohat Wahid-ur-Rahman Khattak in the chair at Kohat. The meeting besides others was also attended by the District Heads of all line departments. The meeting discussed in detail the ongoing schemes under the above mentioned programs for the year 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 and certain decisions were taken in this respect. These schemes were approved under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Directives, Priority Project, Special Package for Development Initiative, Pak MDGs, Production Bonus, Corporate Social Responsibility, Oil & Gas and District Development Initiative Programs, The authorities concerned were asked to identify problems or hurdles if any and bring it into the notice of the elected representatives and district administration well in time so as to ensure its timely completion. They were asked to expedite work on the schemes in line with the provincial government directives as the current financial year is nearly completing. They were further asked to share their progress report with the administration as well as district finance officer regularly and show no leniency in this regard.
