WANA: A Jirga of South Waziristan on Wednesday demanded a separate column for Temporary Displaced Persons (TDPs) in census forms. According to sources a Jirga of Mehsud tribe was held at a political compound which was attended by Member National Assembly Maunala Jamal-ud-Din, Malik Saeed-ur-Rehman, Malik Akhtar Gul, Sherpao, Maulana Abdur Rashid blamed and others. Urging government to include a separate column for TDPs, the speakers narrated the opinion that separate column will ensure transparency in census. They blamed government of excluding separate column for TDPs. The government excluded the separate column as they considering that all IDPs had been returned to their respective areas of the agency, They added however, more than 80 percent of South Waziristan TPDs were still waiting for rehabilitation in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Dera Ismail Khan. They were of the opinion that excluding separate column for TPDs means ignoring them in census followed by the development. They said that more than 70 percent of the TPDs had missed the registration in 2009 due to which they had deprived from the government help. They demanded to include a separate column for the TDPs and make ensure their census. Youth: Speakers at a gathering in Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology said that only the youth could change economic and political landscape of the country. They were speaking at three-day “Pakistan Youth Speaker Forum”, organized by the International Association of Students in Economics and Management at GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. Academia and students of various universities spoke on different issues confronting by the country and problems related with the younger generation. Mansoor Ali Khan, a journalist, said that there should be unity in youth ranks. They must identify their problems and work with complete concentration and dedication to resolve them, he added. Junaid Akram, a known comedian, said that the youth should not loose heart even in the difficult circumstances and should work hard.
