MOHMAND AGENCY: The Finance Minister Muzafar Said claimed that provincial government would give permanent status to all Ad-hoc teachers working at Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA)in upcoming provincial budget. He was talking to representatives of the teacher’s organizations at Ghalani Jirga Hall at the function of teacher’s oath taking ceremony here on Tuesday. Additional director FATA, Prof. Bakht Munir, Principle Aslam Khan, Assistant Education Officers Orakzai Agency Atiqur Rehman and other were also present in the ceremony. Muzafar Said shared that provincial government was well aware of the critical situation faced by the belt teachers community and especially who performed as Ad-hoc based in the hard areas. He said that government has decided to give permanent status to all teachers appointed on ad-hoc based in the upcoming budget as recognition to their service for long time. Provincial government has increased the allocation of budget and will continue this practice in the coming budget and will also give more incentive to all teachers of the hard areas as the government wish to invest more on the education he maintained. Muzafar Said claimed that finance department opposed the secretariat allowance but provincial government reinstate it, adding that reforms and rehabilitation process have been launched and all impediments in the way to progress will be eliminating one by one. The representatives of the teacher’s organization demanded in their speeches that government has always used the force of the teachers for census and polio but never paid attention to provide incentives and other privileges to community. They said that government should give more focus to teachers of the FATA and resolve all pending issues in the upcoming budget if its policies were education friendly. IMS hosts training for holistic business: In order to incorporate Islamic finance education through Islamic banking system at the holistic business system, Institute of Management Sciences (IMS)on Tuesday arranged one day training for the professionals related to the provincial banks of the province. The Centre for Excellence in Islamic (CEIF) of IM Science Peshawar delivered “One-Day Training on the Training Method for Islamic Finance”. The employees of The Bank of Khyber (BoK), Al-Baraka Bank, Bank Al Falah Islamic Banking, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Islamic banking, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Al-Khidmat Foundation and Takaful attended the training session. Dr. KarimUllah head of the institutes stressed over the future vision of the Islamic Banking system and market opportunities for the professionals related to the field in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that the vision to transform the current Islamic Finance landscape in the country through a novel integration of Islamic Finance education, research, and best industry practices. The training was part of the broader Islamic Finance education program in which CEIF IM Sciences promotes best Islamic banking.
