CHARSADDA: The police and other security forces arrested 40 suspected persons and seized arms in joint search operations in various areas in Shabqadar tehsil on Friday, official sources said. They said that the police and the security forces launched search operations at Haleemzai area in Shabqadar tehsil and arrested 40 suspects. The law-enforcers also seized nine Kalashnikov rifles, 10 other guns, six repeaters, three other rifles, 35 pistols and ammunition from the possession of the held persons. The apprehended persons were shifted to the concerned police station where further investigation was underway. Boy kidnapped for ransom recovered, captors held: The Capital City Police recovered the boy who was kidnapped for ransom and arrested the involved persons on Friday at Peshawar. According to the Police official the brother of the kidnapped boy filed first information report (FIR) in Police Station Pandu about the missing of Fazal his brother. He claimed that his brother was lifted from Taj Chowk, Peshawar. He informed the Police about a call and demand of Rs 5 Lakhs from them. After the ransom call the the SSP Operations Sajjad Khan ordered strict actions and during search and strike operation at the provincial capital the abducted boy was finally recovered. The official claimed that investigation was conducted with help modern equipment and identified the criminals involved in the heinous crimes of abduction. The alleged Bilal who was involved in the abduction of the boy was arrested along two bottles of wine and cash amount of above Rs 50, 000. Student torture: Another case of the student torture come to the surface in the Tangi area of Charsadda where a student class two was brutally tortured by his teacher over minute mischief at the class. The primary school of Kot Tangi, Charsadda teacher named Inayatullah has subjected a student to physical torture after the punishment the student sustained sever injuries on his face. The family members of the victim student Bilal said teacher at Kot Tangi Primary School Inayatullah subjected the student to severe torture over a trivial mischief. They demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government and Education Minister Muhammad Atif to take stern action against the teacher and provide justice to the victim. Over 100 suspects arrested: The police and Intelligence Agencies on Friday conducted search operation in Malak Abad area of Swabi district and arrested over 100 suspected people besides recovering arms and ammunition from their possession. Swabi district police said that police and Intelligence Agencies searched 100 houses in Malak Abad, considered strong holds of criminals and arrested over 100 suspects. The nabbed suspects included wanted criminals, Afghan nationals and drug suppliers. Cache of arms and ammunition were also recovered from some of the arrested people. The DPO said that search operation would be carried out from time-to-time to ensure peace and security in the district. 28 arrested: The district administration here Friday while taking action against profiteers arrested 28 persons. A team of district administration under the headship of AAC Peshawar, Abdul Ghani conducted raids on shops and restaurants in Nahqi, Daudzai and Naguman area of Charsadda Road and inspected items’ prices and quality. During raids 28 profiteers, nanbais selling underweight roti, adulterated tea sellers and shopkeepers for not displaying price lists were taken into custody. A bakery owner for not maintaining hygienic atmosphere was also arrested. Cases under relevant act were registered against the arrested businessmen. One dies in exchange of fire: At least one man was killed while the other was injured in an exchange of firing between two groups in Kahi area of Hangu. Sources said that two groups traded firing on land dispute in Kahi, 20 kilo meters away from Hangu. Resultantly, one man, Abdul Saeed died on the spot while the other, Muhib Ullah sustained serious injuries. Both dead and injured were rushed to nearby local hospital for medico-legal formalities and first aid.
