BARA: As many as four persons have been killed and another sustained injury in armed clashes taking place between two factions of pro-government Tawhidul Islam in Upper Bara area of Bazaar Zakhakhel. Official sources said on Sunday that groups of Babrak Commander and Khan Muhammad Commander were engaged in a Jirga pertaining to tribal issues when volunteers of both factions exchanged hot words and then opened indiscriminate firing on each other. As a result of firing, four persons were killed and another tribesman was wounded, officials confirmed. Babrak, a local commander, Marbi Khel, Gul Nawaz and Shahid were among the deceased while Kiptan received injuries. Both commanders were associated with Tawhidul Islam faction. Local tribesmen said the commanders of Tawhidul Islam were discussing some key issues of tribe when they resorted to firing on each other. Zakha Khel tribe is the only one across the agency where government supported Tawhidul Islam was actively carrying out its activities against anti-state militants since long in militancy stricken Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency.
