PESHAWAR: Physically challenged people have demanded of the provincial government to increase job quota from two to five percent along with free medical facility and monthly stipends. Addressing a news conference at press club, Arifullah a member of the disabled community said that the incumbent provincial government had failed to address the issues of the community. He said the provincial social welfare department is only extending facilities to few influential people and government employed, instead of facilitate all disabled persons under uniform policy. He viewed that number of persons with disability was increasing with the passage of time due to one way or other. He said the special persons needed special attention of the government and society. He urged the government to take practical initiatives for addressing problems being faced by special persons.
