PESHAWAR: Chairman Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), Syed Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday said that the aim of his party was to resolve the problems of the people and provide them basic rights at their doorstep. Addressing a “Meet the Press Programme” at the Peshawar Press Club to congratulate the new cabinet of the PPC, he said PSP was established to serve the people. Flanked by his party leaders AnisQayamKhani, WasimAftab, ImtiazTanoli and others, Mustafa Kamal said that “we have an organisational set-up in the whole country to knock the door of every citizen and resolve theproblems.” He said that health, education, clean drinking water and food were the basic rights of every citizen and these should be given at the doorstep of the common man. He said that the leaders ofMutahiddaQaumiMovement (MQM) were still in contact with the founder of MQM AltafHussain. He said: ” I was the staunch supporter of MQM but quit the party when I came to know that AltafHussain was an agent of the foreign intelligence agency, Research Analysis and Wing (RAW) of India”. He said that 25 million children were out of school in the country, 10 million are suffering with mental disorder and many others were not having access to clean drinking water while 350,000 children die every year due to food scarcity. Mustafa Kamal said that the situation would not improve until people were not empowered at the grassroots level. PML-N delegation: A representative 10 member delegation of the PML-N cabinet Mohmand Agency called on the Governor Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra at the Governor’s House, on Wednesday. The delegation was headed by Zar Khan Safi. The delegation apprised the governor about various problems regarding their agency and also gave various suggestions. The governor assured the delegation of his full cooperation and support. The delegation also expressed its gratitude to the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Adviser to the Prime Minister, Jam Mashooq Ali, called on the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra here at the Governor’s House, Peshawar on Wednesday. He remained with the governor for some time and discussed matters of mutual interests. Lower Kohistan: An influential 28-member committee of Lower Kohistan has announced to join thePakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The members of the committee led by Maulana Abdul Kareem Dad, son of former JUI-F MNA Maulana Abdul Hakeem, met Chief Minister Pervez Khattak inPeshawarin the presence of the MPA from Lower Kohistan Abdul Haq and divisional president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Zargul Khan, and announced joining the PTI. “It is a breakthrough for the PTI. We have managed to penetrate into the stronghold of JUI-F in Kohistan,” Zargul Khan told reporters. He said that the 28-member committee backed by the people ofLower Kohistanwas influential and its nominated panel for national and provincial assemblies always won the general elections. Zargul Khan also claimed that the PTI-led provincial government has succeeded to gain control over 8km disputed territory between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. FATA Reforms Committee: The elders of Utmankhel and Tarkhani tribes of Bajaur Agency on Wednesday welcomed the decision of dropping the report of the FATA Reforms Committee from the agenda of the cabinet meeting and demanded a province status for the tribal areas. Speaking at a press conference in Khar, the administrative headquarters of Bajaur Agency, Malik HifzurRehman, Malik Abdul Nasir, Malik Bahadur Shah and others thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, JamiatUlema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief MaulanaFazlurRehman and PakhtunkhwaMilliAwami Party (PkMAP) chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai for dropping the findings of the reforms committee from the cabinet agenda. They said that Nawaz Sharif, MaulanaFazl and MehmoodAchakzai won the hearts of the tribespeople by holding the decision on the future of FATA. They criticised the members of the FATA Reforms Committee for the reported use of the term: ‘terrorists and rebels for tribespeople, in the report. They said that members of the committee held a meeting with selected and irrelevant people and tried to impose the opinion and thoughts on the entire population of the tribal areas.
