PESHAWAR: Fata political alliance has raised grievances over the delayed FATA reform process and announced countrywide sit-ins after the holy month of Ramadan. Sardar Khan Amir Jamat Islami Fata and chairman Fata political alliance, while speaking to media persons here at Peshawar press club has said that Fata reform package has been subjected to incongruous delay for the appeasement of two political personalities. Member in the press conference said that Fata reform commission was constituted on 10 November 2015 under the leadership of Sartaj Aziz, advisor to the prime minister on external affairs, with reposing mandate to curve out feasible reform package for the tribal region after thorough deliberations with major political stake holders of Fata, tribal bigwigs and local tribesmen. They added that one year has passed since the reform committee submitted its report to the federal government but still awaits any action. Meanwhile he announced holding of meetings with political leaders and media persons for apprising them of the development incurred after reform package. Alliance advised the chief minister of the province Pervaiz Khattak to immediately call an all parties’ conference on Fata reforms and play its due role at a federal level. He announced a chain of country wide sit-ins after the holy month of Ramadan if the federal government did not acceded to their demand. Meanwhile Nasir Afridi secretary general Fata political alliance and other party representatives were also present on the occasion.
