PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has asked the provincial government to clear its position regarding the arrest of Hussan Syed, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zone Development and Management Company (KPEZD&M). The CEO has been arrested by the NAB on charges of corruption and malpractices in the company. Sardar Hussain Babil, General Secretary of the ANP has said that the provincial government should have explained why Hussan Syed was taken into custody and what would be the future of the agreement signed by the company. Babik said that its party would raise the issue on the floor of the assembly and would ask the government the overall situation and causes of the arrest. He said that without the provincial government’s consent how is it possible for the National Accountability Bureau to arrest the CEO, adding that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf led provincial government not commented on the issue and that won’t be tolerated by the ANP. PTI government is raising slogans over the corruption but seems silent over the Hussan arrest shows its party members involvement in the corruption made by the CEO of the company he added.
